Wolsey & Abbey Mills
Usage: Extra Care Facility | Location: Leicester | Frames: 1100 | Client: William Davis Ltd
Completed over two phases, this development involved the regeneration of a historic landmark in Leicester. The listed Cardinal Wolsey building and neighbouring Abbey Mills were completely restored using bespoke arch head casement windows with face mounted glazing bars, in Decoroc Anthracite Grey and white respectively.
The project presented many access difficulties with the large façade of Abbey Mill overlooking the famous Grand Union Canal.
The teamwork displayed by Advanced Arches and Dempsey Dyer throughout the project has resulted in both companies being nominated for the final of the prestigious ‘Commercial Project Of The Year’ at the 2014 G Awards in London.
